Overview

Bright Futures is a dedicated organisation in South Tyneside, empowering women and girls aged 4 and up.

The service provides a wide range of support services, both one-to-one and through group programmes, addressing key issues such as:

  • healthy relationships
  • online safety
  • grooming and exploitation
  • sexual health
  • substance use

Their goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where young women can thrive and make informed choices.

They offer a variety of impactful programmes, including:

  • educational initiatives
  • mental health support programme
  • employment support
  • general youth work sessions in the evenings

Additionally, they run a dedicated programme for young mothers, all delivered across three family hubs to provide accessible support for mums up to the age of 25 living in our community.


Support available

Bright Futures customises its support to meet the unique needs of individuals with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

Their staff regularly undergo training to make sure they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, allowing them to provide the highest standard of care and support.


Who can access the service

This service is available by referrals to girls and women aged 4 years old and older. 


How to access the service

Individuals can be referred into the service via a professional or partner agency as well as self-refer.

Once the referral has been made to the service, a project member will be allocated the referral and will make initial contact with the referrer before contacting the individual for support to start.
