Overview
A charity supporting people with Down's Syndrome and their families across the North East.
You must be a member to access the support available.
Support available
The charity runs specialist activities to allow people with Down's Syndrome to:
- meet up with friends
- take part in leisure activities
It also gives families the opportunity to meet socially.
All events are accessible, and adjustments are made to suit the needs of members.
For face-to-face events, a parent, carer or PA needs to be present for safety reasons.
Online activities are also available on Zoom.
Gift boxes are available for new babies to provide sources of information and support.
The charity also provides support and training to parents and carers.
Who can access the service
The service is available to all age groups, and anyone who has Down's Syndrome or cares for someone who has Down's Syndrome.
Education / health professionals who work with people with Down's Syndrome are also welcome.
