Overview

Kate Stanforth provides inclusive dance sessions and specialises in teaching people with additional needs.

Kate is a wheelchair user and highly trained ballerina, who adapted the sport after an unexpected illnesses left her unable to dance on her feet.

She teaches a wide range of dance styles and is an award-inning instructor.  


Support available

Kate teaches sessions online via zoom, or, from an accessible dance studio in the North East.

She can teach group sessions or one-to-one.

She is skilled at teaching people with chronic illnesses and hyper mobility.

She is an associate artist with Flamingo Chicks, where she uses makaton during dance to engage with non-verbal participants.  


Who can access the service

Kate will teach anyone who would like to dance.

Kate's regular classes currently only run for ages 14 years and older, but there is scope for children's classes, workshops and one-to-one sessions.
