Overview

The National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) provides advocacy for children and young people.

You have the right to an advocate if you:

  • are a care leaver
  • are in care
  • have been told there is going to be a child protection conference about you
  • are disabled
  • unwell and in hospital

The service will help you when important decisions are being made about your life.

Advocates specialise in:

  • SEND
  • Disability
  • None instructed advocacy

Who can access the service

Children and young people.


How to access the service

Young people can self refer.

Referrals can be made by staff members that support young people.
