Overview

Tiny Strides OT aims to provide parents with an understanding of their child's behaviour from a sensory perspective.

They offer practical strategies and programmes to support them.

The assessments can be completed virtually to reduce the need for travel and so that children are in a comfortable environment.


Support available

There are a several packages available:

  • Sensory strategy call
    You can book an hour-long call to discuss your child's sensory processing and any potential difficulties they are experiencing. You will receive expert advice tailored to your child's unique needs, empowering you with effective strategies. You can book at your convenience to fit your busy lifestyle.
  • Sensory assessments
    The sensory assessment package provides an in-depth assessment of your child's sensory processing difficulties. Following this the service will provide bespoke strategies and recommendations to help you and your child. This package allows the service to delve deep into understanding your child's behaviour through a convenient, remote clinical assessment.
  • Membership
    With a membership, you can gain access to: resources, strategies, workshops, and tools to address everyday sensory challenges. Guidance to help you understand sensory processing and your own child's sensory needs. Regular questions and answer sessions. A private community of like-minded parents who 'get it' so you can share experiences with each other. 30 minute consultation slots available monthly to gain specific advice from your Occupational Therapist.
  • Courses and webinars
    We have online learning spaces filled with pre-recorded webinars and courses to help improve your knowledge and leave you feeling empowered!.

  • Regulation
  • Interoception
  • Early development

This service supports children and young people who are experiencing the following

  • Sensory processing difficulties
  • Emotional responses (Regulation)
  • Self -care skills (dressing, washing, eating)
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Toileting Issues
  • School related tasks
  • Attention difficulties
  • Fidgeting
  • Behaviours that challenge
  • Feeding difficulties (sensory related)

Bespoke packages are also available on request.

 

Tiny Strides OT is committed to inclusive, accessible practice. They pride themselves in supporting children with SEND so they can thrive.

Adjustments are embedded into their service delivery, to make sure each child receives personalised, meaningful support.

Parents are supported to feel empowered with knowledge and confident to implement support strategies.

They provide tailored occupational therapy services to support children with SEND in achieving their goals.

The service aims to:

  • Enhance independence in daily activities (e.g., self-care, play, school tasks).
  • Support sensory processing differences through individualised strategies.
  • Foster emotional regulation and social skills for better engagement at home, school, and the community.
  • Collaborate with families, educators and other professionals to ensure consistent support across settings.

Reasonable adjustments for virtual parent-centred support

Adjustments include:

Personalised communication

  • They offer written summaries, video recordings, or visual guides (e.g., info graphics) alongside live sessions for clarity.
  • They adapt language and avoid jargon.

Flexible scheduling

  • Shorter or more frequent sessions for parents with limited time or energy.
  • Evening or weekend availability to accommodate work / care commitments.

Accessible technology

  • They provide options for platforms (for example: Zoom, Teams, phone calls) based on parental comfort / tech access.

Resource customisation

  • They modify materials (for example: printable visual schedules, video demos) to match the child's specific needs, if required. 
  • They offer alternative formats (for example: audio notes or text-based guides) for parents, if required.

Any adjustments that may be required can be discussed prior to the assessment date or through open discussion for any other packages.

The service is flexible to make sure they meet your needs.


Who can access the service

All children and young people can access Tiny Strides Occupational Therapy.

They do not need a diagnosis to access the service.

Assessments can be booked directly through the Tiny Strides Occupational Therapy website.
